Someone Ate Their Lucky Charms!
Boston ended their 22 year NBA Finals drought, and defeated Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. From the tip-off until the final buzzer, the Celtics unleashed on the Lakers, with Ray Allen hitting a remarkable 7 3-pointers, and Kevin Garnett posted a double double with 26 points and 14 rebounds. NBA Finals MVP Paul Pierce added 17 points and 10 assists to complete the Celtic triumverate of dominance. As the last 3 minutes of the game came to a close, the crowd loud and clearly sang the Steam song ”Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye”.
The Celtics are NBA Champs! Ay, the luck of the Irish…

Great end to the NBA season. It was nice to see those three get their rings, finally. Especially Pierce. I appreciate a guy who doesn’t whine and moan like a certain number 24 (and, please, no more talk about him being the next Jordan… the league should mandate that Kobe change his number back to eight; he’s talented, but nowhere near the level of 23).
I just hate that this will make Boston sports fans even more obnoxious.

I’m happy when ANY team from L.A. loses, even if it’s to a Boston Team.

Ultimately, I’m happy with the outcome. Although I wish it would’ve gone to game 7 with a last minute buzzer-beater, I guess beggers can’t be choosy. I’m just hoping we won’t hear from a former Boston Celtics employee that they stole sideline signals from the Lakers bench. Then we may have a “Garden Gate” on our hands!

Did you see the way Doc Rivers coached a couple of these games? Or most of the post-season? If they had inside information, it was from a double agent from L.A. ’cause Doc wasn’t exactly on the money with a lot of his rotations and time outs.
And, yes, Chris – I love it when LA-LA land comes out losers…
